Testosterone Propionate Injection Solution

Testonex-P Nano is a sterile intramuscular injection containing testosterone propionate formulated in an UltraFlow C-chain triglyceride–based oil solution. The “Nano” designation refers to the use of a low-viscosity, high-flow carrier oil, which обеспечивает improved injectability and formulation stability.

Formulation Characteristics

  • Ultra-low viscosity oil base
  • High flow rate through fine-gauge needles
  • Clear and stable injectable solution
  • Designed for consistent release of testosterone propionate after injection

Indications

  • Testosterone replacement therapy in male hypogonadism confirmed by clinical and laboratory findings
  • Supportive hormone therapy for female-to-male transgender patients under medical supervision

Pharmacological Overview

Testosterone propionate is a short-acting ester of testosterone. Following intramuscular administration, it is hydrolyzed to free testosterone. Testosterone is primarily metabolized in the liver and excreted mainly in the urine as conjugated metabolites.

Contraindications

  • Use in women, including pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • Known or suspected carcinoma of the prostate or male breast
  • Hypersensitivity to testosterone or any component of the formulation
  • Pediatric use

Warning: This product contains benzyl alcohol. Benzyl alcohol is contraindicated in neonates and premature infants.

Special Precautions

  • Androgens may affect glucose tolerance; monitoring is recommended in diabetic patients
  • Serum testosterone levels should be monitored during therapy
  • Use only under medical supervision

Additional Storage and Handling Information

Oil-based injectable solutions may exhibit changes in clarity when exposed to lower temperatures. At temperatures below the recommended storage range, partial crystallization of the active substance or increased solution viscosity may occur.

If cloudiness or crystallization is observed, the ampoule may be gently warmed to body temperature before use. This can be achieved by holding the ampoule in the palm of the hand for several minutes or allowing it to equilibrate at room temperature. The solution should return to a clear and homogeneous appearance before administration.

Do not overheat. Do not use open flame, boiling water, or microwave heating. Visually inspect the solution prior to use. Do not use if particulate matter persists or if the solution does not become clear after gentle warming.

Proper temperature conditioning before injection may also help reduce injection resistance and improve injectability due to the ultra-low viscosity oil carrier.
